CHMM stands for Certified Hazardous Materials Manager. It is an accreditation offered by the Institute of Hazardous Materials Management (IHMM). The certification has most recently been publicized because President Obama nominated a CHMM as EPA Administrator. "We are extremely proud of Lisa for being the nominee for the EPA administrator post and prouder still that she, like many of the 4,000 members of ACHMM, is a holder of the Certified Hazardous Materials Manager credential," continued Mandracchia. "If confirmed by the Senate Lisa will do a tremendous job for the people of the country just as she did for the citizens of New Jersey." http://www.bizjournals.com/baltimore/prnewswire/press_releases/Maryland/2008/12/16/DC52846

Sounds like a pickup line...girl, you must be a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager because your looks are certifiably hazardous.
ReplyDeleteLOL...feel free to erase this. Just thought I would show some love on your awesome new blog! I am now one step closer to becoming neon green!
In addition to the CHMM, IHMM has another credential-- the Certified Hazardous Materials Practitioner (CHMP)-- for hazmat workers with 5 years experience but no bachelor's degree. In these times of high unemployment and economic uncertainty, IHMM credentials can give a real boost to hazmat workers and managers! Email me at lbrown@ihmm.org.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip lbrown!
